Fire & Water - Cleanup & Restoration

Watchung Water Loss

The supply line to the toilet sprung a leak and drenched the back wall and glued down vinyl flooring in this Watchung bathroom. The Before Photo does not indicate the amount of water soaked into the sheetrock. If a SERVPRO technician placed a pronged moisture meter into the cardboard and gypsum material of the drywall, the moisture content would read over 50%. The flooring was lifting from the wood subfloor, best practices called for a flood cut to remove the lower portion of the wall and thorough drying of the floorboards as indicated by the After Photo. Our team always tries to restore and not replaced water damaged content and structural products, but we do what the job right. The wall cavity and the subfloor supports can be dried with our advanced equipment and prepared for the rebuilding to return the bathroom to its previous state.
