East Rutherford Basement Needs Help With Water Damage

This East Rutherford basement had a large amount of water damage that was compounded by the presence of sewage. When dealing with contaminated water, it is always best to let a professional company with training, experience and safety equipment handle the water cleanup. The water soaked the carpet in the basement and after extraction to make it lighter and easier to handle, the techs disposed of it in order to dry the concrete substrate below. The amount of water released into the room caused the walls to wick some of it and the techs cut off the ruined portion of the drywall. As seen in the After Photo, SERVPRO techs moved the undamaged items to the center of the room and covered them with plastic tarps to keep them from incurring any harm during the water mitigation.
