Wayne Home Has :Two Floors of Severe Water Damage

A home in Wayne had a sewage backup in a bathroom on the second story over the kitchen. The contaminated water seeped under the floor and ran through the floor joists and drenched the surfaces in the kitchen directly below. SERVPRO technicians tracked the migration path using their detection equipment and probes to determine the actual scale of the damage to the floor above and the ceiling below. The techs used controlled demolition techniques to remove only the wet portions of the sheetrock leaving the rest of the ceiling intact to minimize the amount of repairs necessary. After drying both floors, the techs sanitized the affected surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom.
